According to a Hernando County Sheriff’s Office update, the man in the FBI cap who held up a Regions Bank in Spring Hill Friday may have hit a Pasco bank on Monday. Deputies said they are hoping for tips from the public to help identify the suspect, who robbed the Regions Bank on Pinehurst Drive Friday.
The Wednesday update says that an attempted robbery at the Hancock Bank in New Port Richey occurred Monday afternoon. It said “The actions and clothing in both offenses are similar and it appears to be the same suspect in both offenses.”
The update included this description of the suspect and some new information:
“SUSPECT & VEHICLE DESCRIPTION : WM, approx. 30 yoa., 6’01″, 170 lbs., short blond hair. Wearing a dark hat with FBI lettering, long white sleeve shirt under a black t-shirt with graphics on the front, blue jeans and light shoes. The suspect has a pronounced stutter. A silver mid-sized four door vehicle.”
Deputies say any public tipsters could be eligible for a reward for help that leads to a conviction of the suspect. And tipsters can even remain anonymous, according to the update.
