Drug House Operating Near Church and Pre-School Shut Down, Two Charged

SPRING HILL – Hernando County’s Vice and Narcotics Detectives are at it again, after shutting two drug operations in the same week, and in the same neighborhood.

According to officials, around 9:00 a.m. this morning Vice and Narcotics Detectives, along with assistance of a SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at 949 Cobblestone Drive.

Officials say the search warrant was the result of a lengthy investigation, originating from a neighborhood complaint. During the ensuing investigation, undercover detectives were able to purchase narcotics from the homeowner, 62-year-old Robert Pulitano, on several occasions. This morning detectives made contact with Pulitano and a second occupant, identified as 62-year-old Michael Scott Morford, and both were taken into custody without incident.

Pursuant to the search, detectives located several baggies containing methamphetamine, a plastic bag containing marijuana, a container filled with methadone pills and several items of drug paraphernalia. Detectives also encountered unsafe living conditions and contacted Hernando County Code Enforcement who responded to evaluate the conditions. Code Enforcement representatives found numerous violations and will be following up with potential fines.

Pulitano’s residence is within proximity of a church and a pre-school which increases the severity of the charges.

Pulitano is charged with the following:

- Sale of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a church and daycare (2 counts)
- Sale of marijuana within 1000 feet of a church and daycare (3 counts)
- Possession of a structure for sale of narcotics (3 counts)
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of a controlled substance (4 counts)
- Possession with intent to sell a controlled substance
- Possession of Marijuana (4 counts)
- Possession of paraphernalia (4 counts)
- Total Bond $ 117,000

Morford is charged with Possession of drug paraphernalia containing Methamphetamine residue and is held on a $ 1,000 bond.

On Tuesday, Detectives raided a home on Post Court, resulting in four arrests.

  3. Hey Tom, how did you miss the big drug raid at the Holiday Rd house on Monday at noon? Man they made a CLEAN sweep of that house, taking in 8-9 people! It was epic man!!! Lol…

  4. They also removed a 2 year old from the house on Holiday and didn’t bother to file any neglect charges against the parents. Disgusting!! 😡
