UPDATE: 4:10 P.M. - Bayflite cancelled due to 48 minute response time. There are unconfirmed reports that two patients are now listed to have traumatic injuries.
BROOKSVILLE – Fire Rescue is on the scene of a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Cortez Blvd and La Rose Road, where at least five people are reportedly injured.
According to sources, a vehicle collided head-on with a concrete barrier and seriously injured at least one of the victims. Bayflite is en route to the scene at this time.
Road blockage can be expected for an extended length of time due to numerous emergency vehicles on scene.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
