PORT RICHEY (PASCO) – A motorcycle crash claimed the life of a New Port Richey man yesterday, after officials say he collided with an SUV on US-19.

According to reports, 63-year-old James Coles was attempting to make a U-turn at Commons Blvd from the southbound turn lane when he pulled into the path of a Suzuki motorcycle driven by 25-year-old Coty Michael Ryhal. As a result Ryhal collided with the side of the SUV and was ejected from the motorcycle.

Ryhal was transported to Bayonet Point Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

  1. I’m wondering if this 25 try old ‘victim’ is the same young kid that sideswiped my car and took off my mirror then fled the scene while I was sitting still at a light on 19 early last week….umm, would LOVE to know. And if it WAS him, karma is alive and well. That’s what happens when you drive like an ass and keep changing lanes like a N.Y. taxi driver 😉

If not…prayers to the family, and the older man that accidentally hit him because he will need it.

    1. a mirror is worth a life??? how despicable…but then if i remember correctly you are a low life postal employee who i must have had the displeasure of working with or with your sister while in Brooksville/Spring Hill post office…typical idiot i worked with and not the professionals i did have the honour working beside, for and work for me!!!

    2. OMG, of ALL THE RIDERS OUT THERE MADEASISTER, You would even think that. A 25 yr old who I am sure had family, friends that loved him and are going through a very bad time, is the one that hit your mirror.???? Sad. Prayers for the family, friends and for the man that hit him. Have some compassion people. Do you even remember being 25, and we’re you perfect?? Doubtful. Shame on you.

  2. People not paying attention driving again! And people blaming the VICTIM, does it matter how old or who hit your car, a young man lost his life! Where is our humanity & accountability?

  3. I Witnessed That Accident Yesterday And I Promise You on my Mothers Grave That he was Doing Every Bit of 80 MPH or More! So For once it was NOT The OLD MANS FAULT!!!! He WAS Running Thru THE Gears Wide ASS OPEN! And I Am Rider Too & U S 19 Is Not The Place To Do it. Sorry for everyone involved
