LAND O’ LAKES (PASCO) – A Tampa man lost his life this morning after his motorcycle was struck from behind by an SUV on SR-52.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Justin Howard of Spring Hill was traveling eastbound on SR-52, east of Ehren Cutoff, behind a motorcycle driven by a 73-year-old man. Officials say Howard struck the rear of the motorcycle, which was traveling at a much slower speed, killing the driver. Howard was not injured in the crash.
Officials say alcohol is not a factor but charges are pending.
The identity of the victim has not been released.

Cagers please look out for bikes and riders. Not all of us drive crazy and there is no excuse for hitting a slower moving biker from behind. The young man could have been texting and I’m not saying he was. That’s just an example of how it could happen. PAY ATTENTION TO THE ROADS!!
If I were to correct your post I would change “slower moving biker” to “slower moving vehicle”. RIP biker hit from behind.

they most likely won’t charge him with 1st degree MURDER!

The motorcycle was going 20 in a 55 and had no taillights. Sorry to hear this.
Don’t care if biker was doing 20 or 55. There is NO EXCUSE FOR REAR ENDING & KILLING HIM !!!! When bikers speed people bi**h , if they go slow to enjoy you folks want to bi**h. Perhaps his lights were out maybe not. Could have developed a problem with them. STILL NO EXCUSE FOR REAR ENDING & KILLING HIM. GET OFF YOUR DAMN PHONES & PAY ATTENTION!!!!!! do you realize the trauma of being hit from behind on a motorcycle at a high rate of speed? ask any emt or fire rescue worker or law enforcement officer about helmets and bad motorcycle crashes. Yes they save lives but most of the time reality is what it is.
