Nature Coast - Central Thursday Night Football and Week 4!

Football was back in swing last week, with Hernando County teams going 2-3 overall for the week. Nature Coast beat Springstead and Central beat Fivay while Hernando and Weeki Wachee had comeback attempts fall short.

Joining me as always is Derek J. LaRiviere, and we will be breaking down the week four slate, which features a Thursday night game of the week!

Game of the Week: Central (1-1) at Nature Coast (2-0), 7p.m. THURSDAY

Aiello Jr: NCT, 42-17

LaRiviere: NCT, 35-7

Derek’s Breakdown: The lack of a true passing attack has been detrimental to Central for over a year now. Izzy Zena is the quarterback in waiting, but he has yet to earn the starting reps. De’Vonta Smith alone cannot handle Nature Coast’s defense. On the flip side, the Sharks carry a number of assets offensively, led by T.J. Owens and Brian Haygood. This one could get ugly early.

Danny’s Breakdown: Thursday’s game of the week pits Nature Coast and their strong rush defense against arguably the best running back in the area, De’Vonta Smith. While Smith will get his touches and probably two scores, I can’t see him being enough alone to help Central beat the Sharks. The Bears are a good team on the rise, but Nature Coast will wear them out after the half and pull away late.

Byes: NONE

OVERALL RECORDS (LAST WEEK) : Aiello Jr: 9-4 (18-11), LaRiviere 11-2 (20-9)
