Skeletal Remains Discovered in Trash Can Identified as Those of Missing Homosassa Man
HOMOSASSA (CITRUS) – Human remains discovered inside a trash can last week have been positively identified as that of missing Homosassa man, 33-year-old Ryan Michael McClellan.
Dental records were used to help identify the skeletal remains of McClellan who disappeared the week of September 11th, according to officials.
McClellan was reported missing on September 15th and was discovered on South American Avocet Point by Sheriff’s Deputies, just a half mile from his home.
Sheriff Mike Prendergast said during a press conference today, “We will follow every lead until the perpetrator is located and brought to justice.”
McClellan leaves behind two daughters.
