Two People Suffer Severe Burns in House Fire, Teen Airlifted to Trauma Center

BROOKSVILLE – Two people suffered severe burns, after fire broke out inside a home on Ederington Road.

According to sources, a 15-year-old boy suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns and was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment. A 51-year-old male also suffered 2^nd and 3^rd degree burns and transported by ground to Tampa General Hospital.

Fire Officials say a third person suffered an unrelated medical episode but they were treated and released at the scene.

There are unconfirmed reports that the fire was contained to the kitchen but the exact cause is unknown at this time.
