VIDEO - A Close Encounter with Hurricane Irma and a Community That Survived
HERNANDO - Hurricane Irma may not have been the monster that we all expected but residents still felt the effects of a powerful storm that left a path of destruction across the region.
There is still widespread power outages and a boil water advisory in effect for much of the county but crews are working around the clock to make repairs as fast as they can.
We hope to have another update on the situation later today.
The following video is a look back at how our community prepared and what it’s like to stand in the eye of the storm.

RNRF coverage is awesome all the time, but especially so during Irma - thank you for the risks you take.
