HUDSON (PASCO) – A promising viewer tip turned to disappointment this evening in the search for missing adult, 30-year-old Paul Marvella.
RNRF broke the news of Paul’s disappearance earlier today, after dozens of friends and family asked that we assist in broadcasting the details of his case (CLICK FOR ORIGINAL REPORT).
Around 4:00 p.m. we received a viewer tip from Greg Paulo who claimed that a GMC Yukon, matching the description of Paul’s vehicle, was parked at a residence on Gulf Way in Hudson. The vehicle tag was nearly identical except for the last two digits. I immediately contacted the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office and parked a short distance away, on the corner of Gulf way and Old Dixie Hwy. While waiting for a Deputy to arrive, a man matching Paul’s description got into the Yukon, drove past my car, and then drove back towards US-19. I followed the vehicle southbound on US-19, made a U-turn, and then headed back towards Hernando County. Unfortunately, I lost sight of the vehicle due to heavy traffic and stop lights.
RNRF contacted family members and soon discovered that the man inside the Yukon was not Paul Marvella but one of his best friends and co-workers. I spoke to Paul’s friend after the incident who said “with everything going on I just reacted.” Paul’s friend asked not to be identified but he did voice great concerns for Paul and says “Paul is a good person and shouldn’t be going through this.” He further stated “If someone has him they need to just let him go - keep the truck just let him get home safe.”
Paul’s friend asked that viewers be aware that he will be driving an identical Black GMC Yukon with the last two digits on his tag being 27. The last two digits of Paul’s tag are 41.
Investigators cannot ping his cell phone or vehicle Onstar system because both have been disabled.
Officials have only classified the case as a missing adult and they do not suspect foul play at this time.
RNRF will continue to update this story as it develops.

In the first picture you posted of the Yukon the plates Are identical…hmmm
You lost him Mario.
To the Marvella family & their friends: I’m so sorry for you & will continue my prayers for Paul’s safe return home. I’ve read stupid people’s comments & can’t believe how cruel some are. Your family has risen above by setting 1 person in her place- GOOD!!! It’s one thing to be concerned another to be a GOSSIPY IDIOT.
Sorry the latest tip was not useful, but glad people are paying attention. Praying for a safe return of your son soon.
