Officers of the Brooksville Police Department responded to the area of Zoller St in reference to a suspicious person. Residents had advised officers of a subject who was seen running through backyards in the area. While checking the area officers spotted the defendant, Fitzgerald Johnson, age 23. He continued to flee from officers despite being ordered to stop. He was eventually located and taken into custody in the area of 218 Zoller St. A wants and warrants check revealed that he had an active warrant out of Hernando County for Violation of Probation. Once confirmed by teletype, he was placed under arrest and transported to the Hernando County Jail where he is held without bond.
