SPRING HILL – A terrifying 30-minute ordeal left a Spring Hill woman battered, bruised and unconscious, after a violent domestic dispute with her boyfriend of 9-years.
According to officials, deputies responded to 9354 Jena Road on Friday evening, after reports of a domestic battery. The victim claimed that her live-in boyfriend, 39-year-old Jason Michael Kapetanis became enraged due to her drinking alcohol that evening. That’s when Kapetanis began punching the victim in the face with such force that she was propelled across the living room table. The victim retreated to the bedroom where Kapetanis placed her in a choke hold and strangled her until she fell unconscious. Kapetanis continued his violent attack on the victim by throwing her to the ground, swinging her by the wrists, and kicking her in the ribs and abdomen.
After the attack, Kapetanis ordered the victim not to call 911 and to remain on the floor. Kapetanis proceeded to collect several firearms and then fled the residence.
Deputies quickly determined that Kapetanis was hiding at a residence on Convent Garden Road in Weeki Wachee. Deputies made contact with Kapetanis at the residence and placed him into custody without incident.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of numerous injuries to her face and other extremities.
During an interview with Deputy Joseph Merando, Kapetanis claimed that he was beaten by his girlfriend but could not explain how she suffered so many injuries. Merando could find no visible injuries on the Kapetanis to support his claims. Kapetanis also stated that when he was released he would leave and never return.
Kapetanis is charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation, tampering with a witness, and false imprisonment. Bond is set at $10,000 on the latter charges and no bond for the battery charge, due to Kapetanis’ statements that he would flee the area upon his release.

My, what a real bad ass, let him try that on a man and he would suffer severe consequences.
Thank God he was caught.
Another controlling, abusive LITTLE BOY BULLY in hernando county!!!! Also known as a COWARD. And hernando county doesn’t care about victim because it’s so good old boy - a paltry $10,000 bond for the damage he did is an INSULT TO WOMEN !!!!! How about a charge of attempted murder to go with the rest???? She WAS CHOKED TILL UNCONSCIOUS & COULD HAVE DIED !!!
Obviously you cannot read. It says 10k bond and NO bond for the other charges. In other words he isn’t going anywhere
I pray the girlfriend is going to be alright. I also pray she has gotten smart - this can’t be the first time in 9 years that this has happened. If he’s grabbing guns & threatening to leave as soon as he gets out then he must have a record already. Put his things in the garbage and move on please. YOU DESERVE BETTER THAN TO BE BEATEN, CHOKED TO UNCONSCIOUSNESS, KICKED, ETC. BECAUSE YOU HAD SOME DRINKS or is there something that hasn’t been told here??
So I guess if I say all this is ********* it will get deleted?
