Wrong-Way Driver Gets More Than a Citation, Suspect Faces Drug and Firearm Charges

BROOKSVILLE – A Pasco County man is behind bars today, after Brooksville Police discovered a variety of illegal drugs inside the suspect’s vehicle during an early morning traffic stop.

Officials say 26-year-old John Robert Perfect was driving in the wrong direction on North Magnolia Ave when officers conducted a traffic stop at East Jefferson Street. During a search of perfect’s Chrysler minivan officers discovered 59 grams of marijuana, 13.3 grams of cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine. A handgun was also found in perfect’s possession and additional charges are pending, according to officials.

Perfect faces several drug charges and is held at the Hernando County Jail on a $26,000 bond.
