CRYSTAL RIVER (CITRUS) – Citrus County Detectives are searching for a person of interest after a woman’s body was discovered inside a Crystal River motel room.
Deputies responded to the Crystal River Motel located 1151 N. Suncoast Blvd Saturday, after staff discovered the body of 30-year-old Leucretia Eileen Roberts of Floral City.
Officials will only say that the death appears to be suspicious and that an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Detectives are looking for 37-year-old John Lagnos who they say is a person of interest in Roberts’ death.
Lagnos is described as a white male, 5’10”, brown hair, brown eyes, stocky build, and has a barbed wire tattoo around his neck.
Lagnos may be traveling in a 1998 blue Ford Explorer, bearing Florida tag Y17CHK.
There are unconfirmed reports that Lagnos may have been in Hernando County earlier today, after sources say Lagnos’ vehicle was spotted in the area of Cortez Blvd and Pine Ridge Drive. The vehicle disappeared before law enforcement could respond to the area, according to our sources.
