Brooksville Man Arrested for Possession of Meth… and Drug Paraphernalia!…

According to a Henando County Sheriff’s Report, 38 year old Matthew C. Evans was observed at 16180 Tampa Street in Brooksville walking around an open garage. When Deputies attempted to make contact with the defendant, they observed Evans walk over to the door of a travel trailer and deposit an unknown item just inside the door prior to walking over to the deputy to talk. After gathering Evans identification, the deputy walked over to the travel trailer and immediately observed a glass style smoking pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamines just inside the door to the travel trailer. Evans admitted that the pipe and a zip lock style baggie that was subsequently found did contain Methamphetamine and were in fact his. The defendant was then transported to the Hernando County Jail and held on a $10,500 bond.

The arrest report also references the defendants extensive prior arrests and convictions for narcotics related offenses.
