Officers of the Brooksville Police Department made contact with Jonathan Colon Ortiz, age 21, of Dade City, Florida, on a traffic stop at the intersection of Cortez Blvd. and Horse Lake Rd. Subsequent check of Ortiz’s identification revealed Puerto Rico Police Department Warrant #2008-13-010-00393 for Dangerous Drugs. Confirmation of the warrant was made via Teletype. Ortiz was placed under arrest and transported to the Hernando County Jail where he is being held without bond awaiting extradition back to Puerto Rico.
