SHAYNE HARTWELL, age 42, was observed selecting a jacket and toys in the Walmart Store. He put the jacket on and concealed the toys under the jacket. He then exited the store without paying for them. Store security attempted to stop him but he fled through the parking lot and got into a waiting vehicle. A Brooksville Police Officer attempted to stop the vehicle at which time HARTWELL exited the vehicle and fled on foot. HARTWELL was apprehended and the merchandise was recovered. HARTWELL did have in his possession marijuana in an amount <20grams, Oxycodone pills, a spoon with crushed Oxycodone residue, and a hypodermic needle. HARTWELL is being held in the Hernando County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
