Children Found Living in Home with Meth Lab, Search for Suspect Underway

SPRING HILL – On Saturday RNRF broke the news of a meth lab discovery inside the Wellington Retirement Community. Due to the ongoing investigation officials were unable to comment or provide specific details into the case; however, officials now say they have an arrest warrant for the suspect responsible for the operation.

According to officials, Vice and Narcotics Detectives responded to 11442 Deercroft Court on Saturday, after a tip led investigators to a possible meth lab inside the garage.

Once inside Detectives discovered several items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine and immediately evacuated the residence. A Hernando County Fire Rescue HAZMAT Team responded and aided in the removal of the volatile chemicals.

As a result of the investigation authorities determined that 34-year-old Brian Vincent, a relative of the resident, was the person responsible for the operation.

Detectives seized over 625 grams of liquid and crystal methamphetamine, along with different forms of paraphernalia used in manufacturing the drug.

It should be noted that two young children were present inside the home when the meth lab was discovered. The Department of Children and Families has opened an investigation into the case.

Officials say a warrant has been issued for Vincent’s arrest on charges of manufacturing Meth with Children Present, trafficking meth, possession of listed chemicals, and possession of paraphernalia.

Vincent was arrested on November 25th for retail theft and released the following day on his own recognizance.

  1. Sad for the children, where is the mother? People that live there being charged as well? Don’t tell me you don’t know what’s being brewed in your garage, unless you are deaf dumb and blind. Sorry if they are. Prayers for the poor children!!

  2. These gated communities are a haven for misbehaving! The Villages has a high rate of STD’s (republican haven) heritage pines, fake sinkholes, Wellington, meth, and Silverthorn, hammergate. Way to go old farts!!

  3. as i said some one younger they trusted. Im kind of shocked he used the cheap bottle method and had over a pound of meth. That had to take a while and a bunch of tabs.

  4. What pissed me off about this( besides him having absolutely no regard for the children’s well-being ) is the fact that this POS has his own place. I have been living with various family members, I work full time, go to school, and I happily pay child support but there is no way for me to get into my own place with what I make after I take care of my responsibilities. I get so frustrated and then I see
