Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a masked man who reportedly held up a Spring Hill convenience store Wednesday afternoon. Officials provided a description of the robber and his vehicle to other law enforcement agencies within minutes of the incident.
According to preliminary details from a sheriff’s office spokesperson, deputies are on scene of a commercial robbery at the Mobil Mart/Gas Station at 1394 Commercial Way, which is the southeast corner of US 19 and Applegate Dr. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants and black sneaker- types Shoes with white soles. The spokesperson confirmed that the robber brandished a knife during the incident.
The suspect reportedly fled in a silver Chrysler minivan with a luggage rack on top and a plexiglass bug shield mounted to the front. Witnesses told deputies the minivan was occupied by a second white male with a teal shirt and camo BDU type pants.
