Driver Killed After Motorcycle Becomes Airborne Crossing Railroad Tracks

BROOKSVILLE – A Michigan man lost his life this morning after crashing his motorcycle at the intersection of Powell Road and Saturn Road.

According to officials, the 59-year-old male driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was traveling eastbound on Powell Road around 2:00 a.m. when he failed to slow for the railroad tracks at Saturn Road and became airborne. The victim was ejected from the motorcycle and collided with a street sign. The victim died at the scene.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor at this time.
