BROOKSVILLE – A local doctor is facing a misdemeanor battery charge after he allegedly had inappropriate contact with one of his patients.
Dr. Alfred Alingu of the Arecho Medical Clinic on Cortez Blvd was taken into custody around 9:00 a.m. this morning.
According to attorney Adam Horowitz, the battery charge is related to a lawsuit his client, Maureen Nicholson filed against Alingu last year.
Nicholson alleges that in December of 2015 Dr. Alingu, her primary physician, stroked her hair and groped her vaginal area. She also claims that during the alleged battery, Dr. Alingu stated “If I weren’t your doctor, you let me in there?”Horowitz says this isn’t the first time Dr. Alingu has been accused of sexual misconduct with his patients. In addition to the Nicholson case, Horowitz is representing Liza Montague who says that between the summer of 2012 and 2015, Dr. Alingu fondled her breasts, legs, and upper thighs during office visits. At this time Dr. Alingu is not facing criminal charges in connection with the Montague case.
Dr. Alingu is free on a $1,000 bond.
It should be noted that Dr. Alingu was found guilty of driving under the influence in 2011.

There was an exchange ………..he gave her a scrip………..she let him grab her vermillion chamber. When the vermillion chamber got stank…….he discontinued the scrip, she cried foul and told statutory story………………………..end of story.

I’ve been going to Dr.Alingu for many years. He has always been a perfect gentleman and a fine doctor. Don’t be so quick to judge!!!!!!
