OMG! Can’t people pay attention and LOOK and maybe even use common sense that they learned when they got their license. Prayers to Steven and his family.
This is why older people need stricter rules and frequent driving assessments…they come down here and drive horrible! I’ve never seen such bad driving as cotton tip Spring Hill!
Get old people off the road they are a hazard worse than the ones on the phone
What are the statistics of dui’s ,not paying attention(cell phones) vs elderly drivers?? Remember you may live to be elderly.
What was the speed of the motorcycle ? People on drugs, people on alcohol, just stupid people, kids on cells and these people meet and mate, oh well.
Don’t forget Nick Nicholson, now there is a prime example of people gone crazy but at least he got his covered up.
Debra your ignorant, She the driver turned in front of him, regardless of the motorcyclests condition,it was like YOU driving down the road and getting hit by a person who don’t stop for a red light
I agree that there should be stricter regulations for older driver’ there are also several motorcyclists that are driving like maniacs on landover and Mariner. One in particular flies past my house several times a day, passing on corners and double yellow lines. We almost hit him the other night turning left into our driveway, yes our blinker was on and it is a double yellow.
How bout the illegality of driving wearing flip-flops? Isn’t that still a law round here?
Omg 83 years old
Prayer for the young man’s recovery and ALL involved Now let’s just see how many wish him and his family well and see how many crucify Elderly drivers, Bet the last statement wins, We ALL WILL be elderly one day, IF we live that long with the drivers at all ages in every county and state, Rant on people. Compassion and prayers anyone else? Mariner and lots of other roads are death traps period.. None of this meant for Maggie.
Maybe those of us who are younger should pay a little more attention to what is going on around us. I am so very sorry for Steven and his family, but we are all going to be old some day. There are many teenagers that make the same mistakes, and oh, add middle age people in there too. It boils down to the fact that we ALL need to slow down and pay attention….it really beats the alternative.
Crazy sounds like her meds kicked in!!!!
I have seen many more reckless motorcycle drivers than “elderly” drivers. They “drive” like any road is their own, personal, racetrack. They know they can’t be chased down because they will zig-zag between cars, drive on the wrong side of the road, pass in no passing zones…total disregard of other drivers or the laws. If this guy could not see a lady coming out of her driveway in her RED car on a straightaway, then, maybe HE needs to have his license reviewed. Is that “cycle” another one of those “crotch rockets” with BALD tires? If so, then why are they even allowed on the road?
Amen to the crazies on motorcycles in
Spring Hill, I am amazed at some of the stunts they pull !
First off she pulled out of a drive way …. which means she impeded his right of way and she is the one to blame. I carry a motorcycle endorsement on my license so I can legally ride and yes there are some crazy riders but not all of them are so don’t lump them together. Another thing when you pull out from a driveway on that road if its not the late evening there is always traffic you look but may not see and just go. somebody in a car would have hit her to there is no time to stop when somebody just pulls out in from of you. and whether it was a crotch rocket or a Harley it makes no difference and not all of them have bald tires. Don’t go lumping people together with your ignorance. Somebody is in critical condition and fighting for their life because another human being was not paying attention. and your comment about more reckless motorcyclists is way off if you actually believe that you must not get out much because the assisted living field down here is booming they call it god waiting room for a reason.
to Mr.90’s Dude Man… regarding The Woman wearing Flip Flops..
Did You Know That Its Legal In The State Of Florida To Not Even Wear
Shoes.. So If It’s her Choice To Wear Flip Flops So Be It.. It has Nothing
To do With being 83 yrs Young.. And Maybe if we are so Lucky we will be
83 yrs young..And Further More Prayers to The Young Man on The Motorcycle
May he have a Speedy Recovery…
real simple, do not turn into a line of traffic unless it is safe to do so, period !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pay attention
Victor - Amen! Too many people doing whatever they want on the road. AND no Yankee drivers you don’t have enough time to beat the oncoming traffic here because the speed limits are significantly higher. Praying she had good insurance to cover his injuries.
remember ONE person in Twelve are born in florida ,so if us YANKEES LEAVE, FLORIDA WOULD LIFT UP BY FIVE FEET.i live just off mariner blvd and im sorry to say everyone speeds motorcycles race thru the lights all the time .please slow down and grandmas give up your driving rights and let someone take the wheel.
bolt
my wife and I were watching a biker go in and out of traffic tuesday night .. I hope this person was not. very common though.. deputies dont pursue .. they should and take motorcycle part of liscense away ..
What a bunch of judgmental idiots. You can’t judge all motorcyclists by the actions of a few just like you can’t Judge and lump all the older people together. Get a grip. They are called accidents for a reason or they would be called on purposes. I’m sure the driver of the SUV although she was wrong did not set out to drive into a motorcyclist an injur them. Just like the motorcyclist didn’t say Im going to go for it to see if the elderly woman hits me.
Oh and Debra…….what does Nick Nicholson have to do with this accident? We all have certain things that happen in our lives so get over yourself
