One Confirmed Dead in Single Vehicle Crash, Burst into Flames on Impact

WEEKI WACHEE – At least one person is confirmed dead after a single vehicle crash on Cortez Blvd just east of Shoal Line Blvd.

Officials have not released a full report at this time but according to sources a vehicle crashed into a wood line along Cortez Blvd and burst into flames.

Fire Rescue personnel discovered one person deceased inside the vehicle.

The westbound lanes of Cortez Blvd are closed at this time.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.

  • I know when I got in my accident reports were all wrong so not sure where the monkeys get their info, but its defenitly sad.   • South of Shoal Line? Do you mean East or West? Cortez can’t go south of Shoal Line Blvd. Please clarify and if there’s a make of vehicle, include that info. This has me quite concerned.
