Search Underway for Missing and Endangered Adult - LOCATED

UPDATE 6/3/2017, 9:30 A.M. – Mr. Gifford has been located and is safe, according to officials.

HERNANDO – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing and endangered adult who disappeared yesterday from a Spring Hill residence, where he was temporarily residing.

According to officials, 40-year-old Randahl Gifford abandoned his vehicle in the Publix parking lot at Spring Hill Drive and Barclay Ave.

According to witnesses, deputies have been searching the area all day with the assistance of K-9 and the Air Unity.

Officials say Mr. Gifford made concerning statements prior to leaving

Gifford’s is described as a white male, 5’7”, 130 lbs., Brown Hair, Hazel Eyes and may be wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt, dark pants and sunglasses. He is clean shaven.
