BROOKSVILLE – Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue are on the scene of a possible shooting that occurred at the 6000 block of Strawberry Drive.
According to our sources, the male victim called 911 and reported that he had been shot in the arm.
There are conflicting reports as to whether the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle.
The victim is en route by ground to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa for treatment.
Sources say the victim claims that a “drug dealer” shot him but he could not provide the suspect’s name.
There are unconfirmed reports that the suspect is a black male wearing a hoodie but that information has not been confirmed by officials.
Deputies are searching the area for a possible suspect.
