Jordan Wright threw three touchdowns in the first half Friday, as Springstead steamrolled Dunedin 50-15.

The Eagles (2-5) have had their struggles on offense this season, but Wright went 5-of-9 for 145 yards and three scores to turn the game into a 28-0 laugher by halftime.

Wright would get things started by hitting TJ Owens on a 42-yard score on 4th-and-8.

After Owens added a 2-yard keeper, Wright hit Jared Hargett and Jarett Thurmond with touchdown passes, sending the home team into the half happy.

Wright’s night would end after a half, but the Eagles were far from done with the visiting Falcons (0-8).

Randy Morgan and Izzy Zena would add touchdown runs of 45 and 52 yards, respectively, as Springstead scored on their last six possessions of the game.

The 50 points by the Eagles is the most points scored in over a decade by the offense.

For Dunedin, Henry Keiler had 70 yards rushing on 16 carries and a 6-yard score, while Jyrher Francis scored on an 89-yard kick return.
