Suspect Escapes Custody, Pepper Sprayed, Tased, Elementary School on Lockdown (IN CUSTODY)

UPDATE: 8:15 P.M. - After a nearly 6-hour search, Pasco officials say Chad Deskins is in custody.

Deskins escaped from arrest today in Hudson when deputies tried to take him into custody for false verification for pawning stolen goods,

Deskins made a bold move that backfired when he withdrew money from his account at the Wells Fargo bank in Hudson, shortly before 5 p.m. Alert bank personnel notified deputies, who were on the scene in seconds, say officials. Dep Nick Carmack and K9 Shep cornered him in a swamp and took him into custody.

HUDSON (PASCO) – Dozens of Pasco County Deputies are searching for a man who escaped custody this morning near Hudson Elementary.

According officials, 42-year-old Chad Deskins fled from deputies this morning after he was taken into custody. There are unconfirmed reports that Deskins broke free from the arresting officer, was pepper sprayed, tased, and then fled from the scene on foot.

Hudson Elementary was immediately placed on lockdown and several deputies placed around the school to protect students during the search.

Deskins original charge is unknown but sources say Deskins is now wanted for Battery on a LEO and Resisting Arrest with Violence.

Pasco County’s Air Unit and K-9 have been deployed to aid in the search.

  1. This boy be a fool or just plain stupid or maybe both. Hit a LEO, it would probably be a good idea to turn yourself in before the law catches you hiding in the bushes

  2. Well, he managed to stay out of prison 16 months———THIS TIME! What a surprise he’s a repeat offender, in and out of prison, none of his priors kept him in very long. Maybe this time, he’ll go away longer.

  5. Maybe i missed something,but what was so bold about withdrawing money from his own bank account,and why would that be a cause for the teller to call the police?
