Vehicle Collides with House Injuring Elderly Woman, Second Incident in Two Days

SPRING HILL – An elderly woman may have suffered a head injury after sources say she drove her car into a residence on Captain Drive.

Fire Rescue responded to 11214 Captain Drive around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, where they located the female driver outside the vehicle, bleeding from the head.

There are unconfirmed reports that the 70-year-old woman may have suffered a medical episode and drove into the garage portion of her own residence.

There are no other reports of injuries but there is substantial damage to the vehicle and home.

A similar incident occurred yesterday on Clearwater Drive, where an elderly woman veered off the roadway and struck a residence. (CLICK HERE FOR FULL REPORT).

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.

  1. I hope that Karma bites all of the elderly hating people in the butt. Remember you will be elderly one day too. I hope the younger generation then has more compassion then what I’m seeing nowadays.
I hope the driver is okay and recovers from what ever medical episode caused her to hit her own home. It’s not only the elderly this happens to. I’d rather be on the road with an elderly driver then some of these high and younger drivers who I see multiple times a day in my travels.

        1. if thinking you’re smarter than a person you dont know on the internet makes you feel a little less worthless than you already are, you can take the small win, loser lol

  2. Well I’m just glad it was her house she hit and not her neighbors. She is only 70. Hopefully she is ok medically. Prayers to the lady who hit her own house.

  3. Isn’t it a fact that there are more accidents caused by “distracted” drivers, tailgaters and smart ass hot shots who leave home 15 minutes late and try to make up for it on the road? Put your damn phone down and stop texting and driving.
