SPRING HILL – The owner of a yellow Nissan Xterra had a bad day last Friday, after a wayward cable spool broke free form a trailer and crashed into the side of the SUV.
A local business sent in surveillance video of the incident that occurred at the intersection of Bali Lane and Mariner Blvd. Video shows a pickup truck pull into a parking lot across from the Mariner Surgery Center, towing a large cable spool. As the trailer crossed over a hump in the roadway, it lifted the spool off the hangers, allowing it to roll away. The spool then rolled across Mariner Blvd and into the parking lot of the Surgery Center, where it struck the parked SUV.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
Due to Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Policy, accident reports are no released to the public for 60 days.
