Deputy Involved Shooting Leads to One Arrest, Strip Club Shooting Still Under Investigation
PASCO – A Pasco County Sheriff’s Deputy is on administrative leave after he exchanged gunfire with a suspect during an incident in Holiday early this morning.
According to officials, around 1:40 a.m. deputies responded to the area of Darlington Road and US-19 after reports of a shooting. As deputies arrived on the scene, the suspect vehicle fled the area until the pursuit came to an end on Eastwood Lane. That’s when officials say the suspect fired shots and deputies returned fire. No one was injured during the incident and the suspect was taken into custody.
The identity of the suspect has not been released but officials say he faces multiple charges and the investigation remains active.
A second shooting occurred at the ICON Gentlemen’s Club in Hudson Friday, where officials say a disturbance inside the club turned violent after two patrons fired several rounds into the air. Both suspects left the scene in a single vehicle, northbound on US-19, where they later crashed and fled on foot. K-9 responded to the area but neither suspect was located.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the shooting.
