Multi-Vehicle Crash Injures Three, One Transported to Trauma Center

SPRING HILL – A multi-vehicle crash injured at least three people, after witnesses say one of the drivers ran a stop sign at the intersection of Gifford Drive and Elgin Blvd.

According to witnesses, the elderly female driver of the gold Cadillac ran a stop sign as she crossed Elgin Blvd in a northern direction of travel. As a result, the silver car collided with the Cadillac, which led to a third vehicle being struck in the rear driver’s side.

The elderly driver was transported to Bayonet Point Hospital with traumatic injuries but her exact condition is unknown.

At least one other patient, possibly a third, was transported locally for treatment.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.

There is road blockage in all direction at this time.
