Teenager Dies in Late Night Rollover Crash

NEW PORT RICHEY (PASCO) – A two vehicle crash claimed the life of a teenager last night, after the truck he was riding in collided with another vehicle and overturned.

According the Florida Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Jorge Cruz-Bianco was traveling westbound on SR-54 in a Honda Civic when he attempted to overtake a Ford pickup truck driven by 20-year-old Robert Baldree. As a result, the Civic collided with the right rear of the pickup truck, causing it to rotate and overturn, killing 18-year-old Cory J. Teabout of New Port Richey. The driver and a second passenger only suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Civic was not injured.

Officials say alcohol does not appear to be a factor but charges are pending.

CORRECTION: Earlier we reported that the pickup truck collided with the rear of the Civic. That was in error and we have corrected the narrative. We apologize for the error.

    1. For Gods sake someone lost a child. The highway is six Lanes at that point . What makes you think he was driving like an idiot? Since he was trying to overtake another vehicle, maybe he didn’t realize how slow the vehicle was going and he accidentally clipped it as he was passing it. That is called a mistake yes a preventable mistake but it doesn’t make him an idiot.

  1. What is described here is all wrong

The person driving the Civic was drunk and was speeding and rear ended the truck causing it to overturn and killing the teenager. Don’t share false information

  2. Some people are truly gifted with ignorance and a lack of a brain stem. Someone is dead and they are still criticized by our team of gifted responders.
