HERNANDO BEACH – Two men are lucky to be alive today, after they disappeared off Pine Island Park yesterday afternoon and drifted in the Gulf of Mexico for several hours.

WEEKI WACHEE – A local animal sanctuary is shut down and the owner arrested, after officials say dozens of dogs were found living in poor conditions and suffering from various ailments.

HUDSON – A volunteer Pasco County Fire Rescue Lieutenant is charged with Grand Theft, after officials say he stole a diamond ring worth over $10,000.

HUDSON – A woman and her dog were struck and killed early this morning, after she attempted to cross US-19 at New York Ave.

PASCO – Separate brutal stabbings occurred earlier this week that left two men with serious injuries and their attackers behind bars on Attempted Murder charges.

UPDATE: 5/24/2018, 6:37 P.M. – According to booking information on the Hernando County Jail Website, Graham is charged with 2-counts of sexual battery on a child between the ages of 12 and 16, and 1-count of Kidnapping. Graham is currently held on a $110,000 bond.

SPRING HILL – The Hernando County Sheriff’s SWAT team raided a home on Clingman Street this afternoon, where they arrested a man who is already facing numerous drug trafficking charges from a previous raid that took place last October.

UPDATE: 5/24/2018, 9:45 P.M. – Officials are now reporting that this incident involved a raccoon, not a monkey.

BROOKSVILLE – Hernando County Animal Control and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Officers are searching the campus surrounding Central High School this evening, after someone reported seeing a monkey on school grounds. 

SPRING HILL – A woman could face DUI charges after she crashed her car into a home on Shafton Road.
